Jamieson Webster nasceu em 1979, em Miami, nos Estados Unidos. Em 2000 graduou-se no Sarah Lawrence College e em 2008 obteve o doutorado em psicologia clínica na City University of New York (CUNY). É professora do The New School for Social Research desde 2004, onde leciona desde 2018. Atua como psicanalista em consultório particular em Nova York desde 2010. É também membro do conselho executivo e docente no Pulsion Psychoanalytic Institute e no Soho Psychoanalytic Group, além de pesquisadora do The New Institute para o ciclo de 2024–25. Em paralelo com o trabalho clínico e acadêmico, Webster contribui regularmente com ensaios e artigos para veículos como The Guardian, The New York Times, The New York Review of Books e Artforum.
